Aurora had an advent calender this year that every day behind the door there was a kinder egg(chocolate egg with a small toy inside)I made her wait till Daddy got home every night before she could open the next door. Some days we did not make it till Ben got home. I can only stand so much whinening in a given day. She LOVES kinder eggs.In a German household each child has its own advent calender that always has a small toy or candy behind it instead of a family advent calender. I think a long long time ago some Mother got tired of her children fighting for the treat that day and wallah everyone got their own and it became a German tradition but that's just my way of thinking.
